Gregor is a chemist, toxicologist and nanotechnologist. Above all, he is an inventor and the founder. He studied chemistry, biology and physics at the University of Munster in Germany. In 2002, Gregor received his PhD from the Free University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Then he went to Trondheim, Norway, as a Marie Curie Fellow for promising scientists, of the European Community. There he conducted research at the Norwegian University of Technology and Science. In addition, he was also a director and shareholder of the Chiron company. In 2005, Gregor went to Berkeley and the University of Iowa, USA, to study toxicology as a Feodor Lynen fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. In 2010 he founded the company Wind plus Sonne GmbH, which specializes in technical and chemical solutions for clean water, climate change, raw material upcycling and the circular economy. Two years later, Gregor was appointed chair of the new NanoBioInterface at the Saxion University of Applied Science in Enschede, the Netherlands. Gregor has been working as an independent entrepreneur since 2019. He founded the company SmartMaterialPrinting B.V., which focuses on innovations for 3D printing. In 2021 Gregor bundled his inventive talent in the company BillionPeople B.V. based in the Netherlands, where he develops his ideas into market-ready products.
